Hello,
My name is Elena and I have been working as an English teacher since 2004. Throughout these years I have taught multiple levels and ages, from toddlers to adults and from beginners to advanced. My area of expertise is language certificates, mainly those of the University of Michigan (i.e. ECCE & ECPE) but I undertake other certificates as well including ones of Cambridge University (FCE, CAE, CPE), Michigan State University (MSU B2, C2) LRN (B2, C2), to name but a few. I have been a certified oral examiner for the University of Michigan since 2006 and I've been preparing candidates for taking the English exams as part of the university entrance exams.
Other than exam/certificates prepapration, I use the communicative approach in my teaching, as my primary concern is the sucessful communication of my students in English. We use multiple online resources to make the learning experience more interesting and effective.
Besides, it's my firm belief that for learning to occur, students must be motivated and see how the material they are studying is relevant to their personal lives.
I teach both onsite and online.
